How To Make A Tuna Melt. So easy to make and delicious. This lunch idea has been a staple for me and my family since staying at home.
Canned tuna. Spam. Pasta, tomato sauce, flour, sugar, toilet paper. Who would have thought that we would be suffering from shortages of these things. I don’t know about you but lately all I want to make are quick lunch ideas and simple dishes.
I’m feeling less motivated and I’m tired. Why am I tired? I used to go workout everyday. Every single day in the morning and now I am doing my best here at home, on the 3rd floor of an apartment building and I have already received a noise complaint from the jumping and exercising I am doing here at home. So, I try to get out, jump around, take the girls out, go for a run. but it definitely hasn’t been easy. So, the easy cooking.
我没有获得freshman 15我在大学的新生年，但如果我不看自己，我可能会获得Quarantine 15。Yes, I said it.
HOW I AM RELAXING
Cooking is giving me a lot of peace right now and giving me something to do. I’m also letting Phoebe and Madeline使their own breakfasts; I have also taught them how to do the laundry. Breakfast might be a bowl of cereal, toasting a bagel with some fruit, popping a waffle in the toaster oven, or this morning, Madeline made an egg sandwich.
We’ve been keeping it easy. Heck, evenDavid Changis making tuna pasta salad and eggs with rice right now and he’s a Michelin starred chef. In fact, many chefs are on Instagram making food and cooking. Celebrities are on Instagram cooking and making food on Instagram. We are truly all in this together.
How To Make A Tuna Melt
Tuna melt sandwich
- 1（5盎司）可以albacore solid wild tuna*drained
- 1到2tablespoonsceleryfinely diced
- 1到2tablespoonsred onionfinely diced (optional)
Using a bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, celery and onions and mix together. Feel free to add more mayonnaise if you want a creamier tuna. Set aside. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Using a large skillet or non-stick pan over medium high heat, place 2 slices of bread, butter side down into the pan. Top each slice of bread with a slice of cheese (more if desired), and some tuna. Top with the other slice of bread, butter side up, and gently press each sandwich down using a spatula. Cover with a lid and let cook for about 3 to 4 minutes to get nicely browned.
Remove the lid and flip each sandwich carefully, and let cook again for another 3 to 4 minutes with the lid back on. The lid helps the cheese to melt and the whole sandwich to warm through. Each side of your tuna melt should be nicely browned and delicious, enjoy!
